Dear brothers, colleagues and donors,

I am pleased to send you my gratitude greetings from Beirut in the name of our Lord who has granted us the privilege, passion, and enthusiasm to be workers in His field and witness for His salvation among all nations.

This newsletter is specifically written to express our deep thanks to all donors who shared our vision, and believed that our dream will come true. This is the time to express our thanks for all supporters who prayed passionately and eagerly, for they felt the LIVF need of a place, and believed that God can make things possible.
Deep thanks to all those who contributed with money, time, efforts, and prayers.
It’s a focal point in the history of the "LEBANON INTERVARSITY FELLOWSHIP” after a long time of praying, raising funds, and planning.


We pray that the place would be a blessing for students and graduates to build a community of Christian researches and thinkers for Him. 
The LIVF has purchased the apartment and has now the “home of the student” which we wish will be a home gathering the students together and teaching the Bible.
Many thanks to the board members of the LIVF; to Br Jamil for his encouragements and efforts, Debora and Penny for their efforts and following up the matter, and all the IFES team and family for their continuing prayers. Thanks to Br. Lindsay Brown who started the vision with the LIVF team in Beirut, and has continued his encouragement to make this dream to come true. We are fully grateful to all our donors and supporters. 


Characteristics of the apartment:
The new apartment of the LIVF is located in a strategic point in Beirut, binding many areas with Beirut. 
The building is located on the main road, easy to be reached, which facilitates transportations. 15 minutes by car from the big compound of the Lebanese University.
It is easy to be reached for students by all kinds of transportations; the building also includes different offices.
The apartment is 175 m2. The latter is composed of 5 offices, a reception saloon with a library area, and a conference room.
We have had serious obstacles lately because of the very fast prices increase. Within one year, the prices increased of 50 to 60 %. This happened in Beirut and some countries in the area. This made us work on some changes in our plan. Finally, we could benefit from this opportunity and buy this apartment after a lot of negotiations regarding the price.

   
Price and expenses:
The price of the app. is now USD 1000 for the 1m2. We could reach the 120000$, without renovation as it needs some work inside. The meter’s price was finally set around USD 680.  It is composed of 2 open units forming 5 offices, a reception with a library area, and a conference room of 9 meters length times 4m width.
The expenses and the price of the new app. are as following:
Price: $120 000
Renovation: $10000
Registration fees: $10000
Registration expenses: $2000
Electricity and water monitors: $1600
Total: $143600


Needs and challenges: as we are looking forward to receiving the apartment and starting to use it mostly at the end of the summer, we pray that the Lord provides the furnishing: desks, chairs, computer equipment, air-conditioning and others. This will cost around USD 20000.
At the same time, we are looking for having a ground or a 1st  floor unit to be implemented to the strategic plan of the ministry in the future.
